Like many film directors, at the height of my youth I shot ads. It was an incredibly nice period of my life. I've never felt more comfortable, neither before, nor after: beautiful offices for discussing projects, delicious coffee and snacks during discussions, young, attractive people, big budgets, interesting challenges, leisured work. If I could make films in these relaxed conditions, it would be paradise. But… Something didn't feel right. Sure, I miss the coffee in the comfy offices, the fruit bowls, the American professional work style. But everyone has their own path, I suppose. Here are some still frames of some advertisements I made. They were shot in the 2000s and have aged, of course. Nevertheless, they still hold sentimental value. I remember everything we worked on, every location and the great people around me. And I think one day I will put these works together in a show reel.
